Catching up

School's out for Spring.  I escaped by the skin of my teeth.... with three A's and a B+.  Yeah, I'm damn proud of that.

Garden's in and stuff's growing.  Gotta get the rest of that in too.

I'm also going to try to catch up with my crochet.  I have three blankets to finish before I'll let myself start doing stuff for me.  There is a hat that I really want to do, so I should get cracking on those blankets, huh?

Gonna post more recipes when I can.  It's difficult enough right now to cook, let alone post what I cook.  Zach's on the crap shift- 2:15-11:15pm.  Ugh.

Catching Up

As opposed to Falling Up.  (hehe, Ash)

So, finally got done with the semester from hell.  Thanks to a crappy class load combined with Zach switching to nights, this semester was pretty bad.  I'll be happy to have passed my classes this semester, sad as that sounds.  I have also decided that SQL is the devil.  

Next semester should go lots better.  I am taking all night or online classes.  I'll be taking Network Security, Windows Professional, A+ Software and Sociology.

However, first I have to get to the first day of the spring semester.  Monday the 19th, Zach and I will be going up to Mountain Home VA center for me to have surgery.  A breast reduction.  Needless to say, I'm a bit on the apprehensive side, but am very much looking forward to it.

What I'm not looking forward to?

Being an invalid.  I hate feeling dependent on someone for everything.  I also hate hospitals.  Tomorrow I go to have a mammogram done.  We'll also head up for overnight lodging Sunday.  Other than that, I plan on loading my eReader down with books and hoping that I'll be able to crochet.

Database and Intro to IT will be great- I actually think I'm going to really like Database.

Windows Server, however, might just be the death of me.  We did an exercise today in class and I was totally lost.  I don't like being totally lost.  It makes me feel stupid.  I also didn't realize that naming the server was the same thing as naming the computer.  Information that would have been nice to have at the starting of the case study.  >.<

Gonna forgo doing any more homework tonight, already took something to help me sleep.  Plus, class doesn't start until 9:40 and I'd rather have something to do that sit and wait for the instructor to unlock the classroom. Oy.

In other news, the blanket for Cale is coming along.  Started on my second skein of yarn for it.  Sucker is kinda heavy, but it looks really neat.  Can't wait to finish it so I can send it along to my sister and hear the squees.  As a matter of fact, I think I'm going to go to bed and work on it a little bit before I pass out.

Had to go pick up another skein of yarn for Cale's blanket today....

.... and walked out with $50 worth of yarn.

Yeah, I'm addicted to the hook and fibers again........
